Imaging using endoscope cameras:the camera examines the internal bore and produces a two-dimensional picture for defect recognition and assessment; a textural analysis is caried out of the area containing the defect.

Quality assurance throughout the production process.
Simultaneous engineering at the start of the production origination cycle, state-of-the-art simulation processes at the development stage, QA tools for fault prevention, control mechanisms throughout the process chain and lots, lots more. Today, cutting-edge quality assurance tools and procedures guarantee high quality capability throughout the product generation process. This means not only correcting faults but also avoiding them before they can even accur. The result: a minimum ppm defect rate. Our target: a ppm defect rate of zero.

Quality-assurance measurement methods throughout the production process:

  • 2 X-ray systems with image intensifiers
  • 3 "Tesa-Leitz" measuring machines
  • 4 Mitutoyo-CNC-controlled 3 MM machine
  • 1 tension-testing machine
  • 2 spectral analysis device
  • 2 surface roughness measuring devices, computer-aided contourographs
  • 1 airflow measuring device
  • Immersion baths to check compression stress
  • Leak test equipment based on a pressure difference principle
  • Camera Testing
  • Body Sound System Testing

Final inspection? - Almost superflous
Despite all the quality assurance measures that accompany each production stage, in certain cases, for example, when checking for porosity after machining, a 100% optical inspection of the finished products is unavoidable. For this reason, we have collaborated with the Fraunhofer Institute to develp a fully automatic method for the camera-aided recognition of textural irregularities. This method is suitable for industrial application and is ready to go into production.
